Periodontal Maintenance

Periodontal maintenance is similar to a regular dental cleaning in that soft and hard deposits are removed, tissues are evaluated and advice is given. However, a more critical eye is placed on the patient with periodontal disease sometimes called gum disease. Periodontal disease must be carefully monitored with greater frequency to be controlled and kept stable.
