Capital Dental Care
Drs. Ahmadi and Alvand have extensive experience in providing extractions when there is no way to save the tooth (We always want to save a natural tooth!) or if one tooth is compromising the health of other teeth (third molars, sometimes called wisdom teeth are a good example). If your needs are beyond our level of expertise, we’ll refer you to one of the area’s best oral surgeons.
Drs. Ahmadi and Alvand have extensive education in the placement of implants using the latest, best technology that increases the success rate of these type restorations.
Implants are used to replace the root of a missing tooth and to anchor dentures for a better fit. Implants must be completed with a restoration above the gums (crown, denture) to be fully functional.
Gingivectomy is a surgical procedure in which part of the gums is removed as in the case of overgrowth or to provide a better appearance.
Gingivalplasty is a surgical procedure in which the gums are reshaped.
Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure used to expose more tooth structure for restoration and removes part of the gums and/or bone.
Frenectomy is the surgical procedure to correct frenulum attachments (natural parts of the body that hold tissue together like the lips to the gums, the tongue in the mouth) that can cause space between the teeth or impede speech.
